Building Project - Background

The Al-Asr Charity in Woking, Surrey has been serving the nation since 1995 under the patronship of Maulana Sabzwary. Currently in Woking we are running daily Madrasa classes, Masjid & Imambargah and there is an urgent need for us to expand as the current facilities are very small and insufficient for the growing community.

To work smoothly and to provide necessary services for community members and especially the children, we have bought a plot of land in Woking costing £400,000, at auction with a loan. The address of the new property is 118 Goldsworth Road, Woking, Surrey GU21 6ND.

We need approximately £1,300,000 to build a new three storey complex for our religious, social and educational activities. We would appeal to you for a few thousand pounds of support as this will make a significant difference to our noble project and Allah will grant you a palace in Paradise inshallah.

We all belong to a divine Creator. We are working and worshiping to Him, who said: "This is the time for believers to support us in this noble cause related with Allah, Ahlulbait and especially with Imam Mahdi (a.s)."

Quran says: "For those who give in Charity, men and women, and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan, it shall be increased manifold (to their credit), and they shall have (besides) a noble reward." (57:18)

Our Prophet said that it was written at the 6th gate of Paradise "Anyone who would like to have a wide grave, should build mosques, the one who wouldn’t like to be eaten by insects in the grave, should visit mosques regularly, the one who would like to have a fresh dead body in the grave, should carpet the mosques and one who would like to see his place in Heaven, should love the mosques".
